The Woman Behind the Lens
My name is Danielle and I am a journalism student at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle. I adore music, chocolate, and have a new-found passion for photography. I’m surrounded by a gorgeous city that offers incredible opportunities for inspirational photos each day.
I am currently shooting with a Canon Rebel T1i that I got for my birthday/Christmas from my wonderful parents. I use minimal amounts of editing – most of the time I use Aperture 3. I am hoping to take a photography class over the summer to learn how to use my camera to its full potential. Hopefully in the future I can upgrade to a pro camera. My favorite things to capture photos of are people and every-day details.

114 Words on Wenatchee Birdies
I took this photo outside of my Grandma and Papa’s house yesterday in Wenatchee, WA. Goldfinches are gorgeous – did you know its our state bird? This bird feeder was full of them all afternoon, and the ground below was covered in 50 or 60 tiny brown birds munching on the seed that had fallen. Isn’t life beautiful? We have a bird feeder outside my house in Ballard… but we never see gorgeous birds like this! Maybe we need to change our strategy… Summer must be on the way; it was very warm and muggy in Wenatchee all day! The birds are waiting for the sun in anxious anticipation…
